Eosander Gesellschaft e.V.

The Eosander Gesellschaft puts into action an ensemble protection  of the one and only baroc city with castle and park in Berlin, according to the planning of Eosander von Göthe, the builder of the Charlottenburg castle about 1700, which today is still recognizable within the citys general aspect. It is the goal of the Eosander  Gesellschaft to step by step recultivate and to revitalize the Schloßstrasse between the castle and the Sophie-Charlotte-Platz and Spandauer Damm.

On behalf of the Eosander Gesellschaft in the years 1976 – 1984 the very modern lamp poles at the Schloßstrasse were exchanged against historic gaslight LATERNS: The big fivearm “chandelier” was saved from scrap, restored and on June the 13’ 1976 solemly urveiled at Schloßstraße /Knobelsdorffstrasse on a star –mosaik pavement.
